About managing your users

There are various types of users that you can have in Safeguard.

User Type Description
Training Only This user can only view documents, take training and view their training record. This can be useful for anyone who isn't a staff member but still is on school premises and is required by law to have done the safeguarding training.
Normal This user is usually a school staff member, who can take the training but also raise concerns or incidents for a student.
Early Help Practitioner This user has an intermediary level of access between the designated safeguarding lead users and normal users. These users can view incidents or concerns recorded under an EHP/light touch entry on Safeguard.
Designated Safeguarding Lead This user can take their training, raise concerns or incidents and manage student records. They can also manage users and the overall system settings.
