About user interface settings
You can customize the administration user interface to suit your organizational needs.
The host name of your Smoothwall and the name of the page shows on your browser's tab by default. For example, smoothwall.local - User Interface. You can configure the Smoothwall use a different name instead of the host name.
You can add and remove sections from the Dashboard to suit.
You can change the SSL certificate used to sign for user-facing HTTPS services, including but not limited to:
- The User Portal (see our help topic, Creating User Portals and controlling what users can do)
- SSL login pages (see our help topic, Customizing the SSL Login Page)
- The Smoothwall Filter quick block and allow services (see our help topic, Blocking or allowing a URL or domain instantly)
- Connect Filter for Chromebooks (see our help topic, Configuring the Google and Chromebook settings, and downloading the HTTPS certificate)
Note: The user-facing HTTPS SSL certificate isn't the same certificate used for the Smoothwall administration user interface. This certificate is separate.
