About physical intervention records

Physical Intervention is the use of direct or indirect force, through bodily, physical or mechanical means, to limit another person's movement. After using physical intervention during an incident, you can record this in Safeguard.

However, you should always adhere to your school's policies around physical intervention and what is acceptable. To read about Ofsted's guidance on physical intervention, see their document, Positive environments where children can flourish - A guide for inspectors about physical intervention and restrictions of liberty.
