About the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) global settings

Note: To make use of the DHCP service, you need a Unified Threat Management license.

With the DHCP service your network hosts can obtain IP address and other network settings automatically.

The DHCP service provides a fully featured DHCP server, with the following capabilities:

  • Support for 20 DHCP subnets.
  • Allocate addresses within multiple dynamic ranges and static assignments per DHCP subnet.
  • Automate the creation of static assignments by using the ARP cache.

You can use the DHCP service in either Server mode, or Relay mode.
