About antimalware settings

Note: Antimalware is a separate, licensed feature.

You can set antimalware to scan content and set a maximum size for files to be scanned. The antimalware status page will only appear when antimalware is turned on. The status page might not appear when downloading small files.

Signatures

Antimalware signatures contain information regarding viruses and trojans known to the antimalware engine. The Smoothwall Filter and Firewall hardware appliance downloads signature from the antimalware server every 15 minutes. For this to work seamlessly, you must include the following mirror server to your upstream proxies, if used:

• http://bitdefender.smoothwall.net
