About events

Events are raised by our moderating team when the content of captures sent to them by Smoothwall Monitor fall into one of the risk categories. You can view the list of events raised during a specified date range, which shows the risk level, the user and their organisation, the risk category, the reason for the raised event and when the event was raised.

If you can see an event in Monitor but you didn't receive an email or phone call, you know that the alert is not above a certain risk level as described on the alert procedure for the organisation.

You can filter the list by username, risk category and risk level. You can also export the displayed list to a .csv file for analysing and reporting purposes. You can click the event to view the messages page that shows you the captures and some screenshots.
