Product Documentation for the Framlingham Release
What's New in Framlingham?
The Connect for Chromebooks extension has been improved to allow you to choose whether user authentication is verified by Google OpenAuth services, or trusted as being from your Google Apps domain. You can filter Chromebooks without setting up Google as a directory if you have Google Active Directory Sync (GADS) enabled and an Active Directory connection configured on the Smoothwall. Google as a directory however allows you to filter Chromebook users directly against their Google Apps group membership.

Google Apps domains can now be configured as a directory connection on the Smoothwall. This service allows users to be filtered according to their Google Apps group membership without having to set up Google Active Directory Sync.
