Banning users from accessing the web for a set duration

Note: Enforced bans can only be removed from within the Smoothwall Filter and Firewall administrator user interface. To lift a ban, contact your Smoothwall administrator.

Procedure

1. In the Smoothwall User Portal, point to BAN↓, and then click USERS.
2. Enter the Username of the user that you want to ban.
3. From the Ban expires list, select the length of time for the ban.
4. To apply the ban, click Add.

The ban is enforced, and current status is displayed.
