About Safeguarding Records

Ofsted inspectors need to ensure that all staff and other adults working within the school are provided copies of and understand the written procedures for managing allegations of harm to a student. Designated safeguarding leads (DSLs) can upload documents that help staff understand their responsibilities in reporting safeguarding concerns, see our help topic, Uploading and managing documents.

In Safeguard, you can record a concern, a physical intervention, a safeguarding action and a communication. This can help when trying to adhere to the UK Governments guidance on recording concerns, sharing information and taking action. You can read more about this in the governments document, Working Together to Safeguard Children.
