Creating location objects

Procedures

1. On the GUARDIAN menu, under the Policy objects submenu, click Locations.
2. Under the Manage location section, type a Name for the location.
3. For the Addresses, enter an IP address, host name, IP range or subnet for the devices that you want to assign to the location object.
• If you want to exempt any devices, click Advanced » and in Exceptions, enter an IP address, host name, IP range or subnet for the devices that you want to exempt from the location object.
4. Click Save.

• Quickly allow to block the location on the Location blocking Page page, see our help topic, Blocking or allowing web resources at certain locations from accessing web content.
• To edit a location object:
  1. Under the Locations section, find the location object that you want to change and click Edit.
  2. Adjust the location object and click Save.
• To delete a location object:

  Note: You can't delete a location object if it's in use in a policy. You must first remove the object from the policy.

  • Under the Locations section, find the location object that you want to delete and click Delete.
