Testing connectivity

Procedure

1. On the SYSTEM menu, under the Diagnostics submenu, click IP tools.
2. To test that basic connectivity to a specified host can be made, under the Select tool section, from the Tool list, select "Ping". To reveal the routing path to internet hosts, select "Traceroute".
3. Enter the IP address or hostnames that you want to ping or trace.
4. From the Source IP list, choose the specific interface or IP address that you want to ping or start the trace from. Otherwise, leave as "Any".
5. Click Run.
