Directories Page

Use this page to connect the Smoothwall to directory services to retrieve directory configured groups, apply network and web filtering permissions to users based on group membership within directories, and verify the identity of a user who is trying to access network or Internet resources.

Navigation: SERVICES > Authentication > Directories.

Directories
Add new directory	Opens the Add new directory dialog box so that you can add a new directory's details.
Directory	The directory's name.
Type	The type of directory being used.
Tenants	The tenants that the directory applies to.
Status	Indicates whether the directory is synchronized or not.
Enabled	Indicates whether the directory is active or not.
Edit	Only appears once you place your mouse cursor over the row. Opens the Add new / Edit directory dialog box so that you can amend your directory's details.
Delete	Only appears once you place your mouse cursor over the row. Removes the connections to the directory and deletes the entry from the Directories table.
Diagnose	Only appears once you place your mouse cursor over the row. Opens the Authentication diagnostics dialog box so that you can diagnose directory-level problems and network related problems.
